A Dexter Video
This is Dexter at his second night of Mary Klein's class. Panic is really the one in this class, however I have been running Dexter a run or two on the jumpers class as well. It's great to get him some experience on some longer sequences, and also in another environment. He is so focused when we are out there! It's great - he doesn't pay attention to the other dogs when he is running, and is just focused on me. He is still kind of bouncy when he runs, as you can see, but I need to run a little faster with him I think! It's different running him than Panic - I can see Panic out of my peripheral vision very well. However with him it's much harder to see where he is! You can see he missed one jump. I did not correct it because we are working on confidence. He is still a baby - just short of one year old. I am very proud of where he is at so far - I think he will be a great dog.

Dexter already IS a great dog! You can tell he has a lot of fun running agility.
Thanks Susan for pointing this out. You are of course correct, he is already an AWESOME little dog. Loves to run, loves to play, loves his mommy and daddy, and truly gets joy out of every day. He is also already a very good agility dog - it's very easy though to get caught up in thinking what we could be "one day" and to forget to appreciate what we already are now.
Have fun at the BRAG trial this weekend - I'll be at CPE nationals vending. Good luck!!
Oh my god he's cute! And really athletic! Very nice job with him.
