I was *SO* freaking excited for the BRAG trial last weekend. It was a starters/advanced trial, and Spry has been doing SO well in class. I had 27 runs throughout the weekend w/Spry & Dex in Starters and Panic in P1. Snooker was 1st on Saturday, and both Dexter & Spry qualified with 44 points!!! Whoohoo baby dogs! Then, I was running outside to switch from Dex to Panic because I only had 3 dogs in between them, when I went *crunch*. I tripped and my left ankle caved under, and I was in tremendous pain.
I went to urgent care and there's no break or tear, just a sprain. Dr says I'll be back to normal w/in two weeks. We'll see! They wanted me to just use an air cast, but I'm sorry - I could NOT have put any pressure on it Sat or Sun!! So I borrowed some crutches, which has been TOUGH but helpful. As of today I am using the air cast for short distances, and supplementing w/crutches for longer distances. Drawing the alphabet in the air w/my toes, etc.
I was so mad at myself for doing something so STUPID on a weekend I was so excited for.
Others ran my dogs the rest of the weekend. Total tally:
Spry - starters snooker & relay legs
Dexter - Starters snooker & gamblers leg (and finished his Gamblers title, so on to advanced!)
Panic - P1 jumpers x2, standard, relay, gamblers leg, finished her P1 jumpers title
So not too bad considering I didn't run them, but boy I was hoping for a standard leg w/Spry! On Sat when my mom ran her, she actually only got two faults - one knocked bar, and one time jumping off of the table, which is pretty good :) She maintained great contacts & stays with everyone which is fantastic.
Here's hoping to my fast healing - everyone's entered @ BRAG CPE Dec 11-12! And I'm judging in TX Dec 4-5!

I'm so sorry...I can empathize all too well. Don't keep it immobile all the time - do as much passive ROM as you can tolerate without pain. I've got a great PDF on rehab - email me directly and I'll send it to you.
I'm sorry to hear about your injury! Take care of it and get well soon!
